Comeuppance? You think other people in other programs deserve to get shafted like this? </font>
Talk about a comeuppance...

I resent the tone of your message about this. Is everything we do measured only on success or failure as you seem to indicate? The fact is, those who have done a very good job of organizing and supporting SSM have not failed. Their efforts brought to life the idea that members of a singular program could professionally voice their concern of change, in their view, change that signaled a change in the habits that the airline themselves weaned us toward. I simply don't know how you determine that SSM was defeated. Do you know for a fact that there were not deeper changes planned in which SSM may have had some influence of preventing?
If I were you, I'd thank the SSM effort for the way they played the game, even when now it may seem they were playing with a blind deck.
And now, you and just some of the members of OnePass will have to live with the thought that perhaps you should have been more supportive of SSM, because as I mentioned to that group and many others– SSM wasn't just about SkyMiles, it was about changes that could eventually be adopted by other programs as well.
And I would doubt that this will spread to the rest of the majors. They have now had a year to react and thus far have not. The only motivator for this from CO was their pledge toward a seamless alliance. I will go out on a limb and say that while NW went along with the restrictive measures for the alliance, I do strongly beleive they will not adopt the exact same measure that OnePass has.
So please show some courage and respect the way some play the game, not the score of the game.</font>
