I'm really wondering why Starwood wants to get this heavily involved in the ski industry by actually purchasing a ski resort--particularly becuase Intrawest is the dominant force in ski resort base area development. I could see Starwood negotiating a deal with Intrawest to add hotels to their villages, but I'm wondering what the strategy is for their purchasing a ski area.
