Last week in BCN I was desperate for a coffee before I boarded the 0625 KL departure. 'No problem, Sir' said the check-in agent at the ungodly hour of 0515 'just turn left after Security and the Air France lounge awaits you'.

It did await me - with a closed sign. With an AF and a KL departure before 0630, the lounge only opens (maybe) at 0600. I got this info from the lounge dragon who shouted it to me (and others) through the locked door.

In GLA a similar situation exists 0610 departure - no lounge open.

It's not the crime of the century but surely somebody in airline management can look at the schedules?
