AC facilities at FLL: what to expect ?

I'm flying down to Florida to meet up with some friends, play some golf and catch a ZZ Top concert

Outbound 15OCT YQB-YUL + YUL-FLL (AC924); return 22OCT FLL-YUL (AC925) + YUL-YQB. Bought Tango+ fares (A on the way down and V on the way back up). ITN shows things as looking pretty good for UG possibilities both ways using SSWUs. ^

Rental car reserved with Budget at FLL. I'll be schlepping the golf bag with me.

I was last in Florida in 1991 when I flew Nationair YMX-FLL

(the YQB-YMX segment was on a bus...) so I'm not familiar with AC's set-up down there.

Any comments or advice on what to expect at FLL in terms of the arriving baggage carrousel (i.e. golf bag = special handling or not ?), Budget rental car counters/shuttles to parking lot, AC check-in facilities, lounge access, gates, etc...?

As always, this group's wisdom is much appreciated.
