Now, I am routed IAD-CVG on a CRJ (Grrrrr) and then onto DL36 to LGW.
I checked the seating for DL36 and in the last two days it has suddenly filled up at a very suspicious rate.. now only 8 seats in coach are open, versus a boatload on Monday.
This indicates to me that DL will even cancel international flights - what it touts as its main strategic direction and moneymaker. Arguably they had the seats to pull it off - but at what expense to customers and their plans?
Oh well, haven't been through CVG in forever - its worth a look..
I was thinking about this a bit, and it looks like DL12 is operating in the next couple of days. This is just a guess, but I wonder if they re-routed you because of Tammy and the congestion she may cause in the next couple of days. It looks like Tammy (or what will be left of her) will be over ATL mid day on Thursday.
