I think you made these points quite clearly in the OP. It didn't strike me at all that you were asking for special treatment just because.... FWIW I think you should have either been allowed access to your stroller or been bumped to the front of the line, regardless of arrival time, but I can particularly understand how frustrating your situation must have been late at nignt.

I hate to bring sexism into this, it's sooo abused and over-used, but I can't help but think that a mother traveling with 2 suitcases and a toddler would have been treated a bit more compassionately.

At any rate, mine are years past toddler-hood but I still feel your pain. Looking back I can't even remember how I managed traveling with those two ... and I had mr. ok with me the majority of the time.
