My mistake: I re-read my original post and I see I referred to this block of bars as "sleazy"... I think I have to stand by that. it's not a statement on the commerce going on here per se, but the whole vibe. but it's a fun block, and a lot of people are here having a good time... so I would also call it good and fun-- so I don't think those terms are all mutually exclusive :-) it's sort of like, in New York City, the Cock [before it moved a couple of months ago] was my favorite bar hands down... a fun crowd, good music, good energy. and so sleazy! :-)
