I did the initial consultation, for which you're suppose to get 3000 miles, back in early August.

It used to be called American Express Financial Advisors but they were in the process of being spun out from Amex back then.

So now the same promotions are listed under Ameriprise.

I didn't get a voucher or any kind of paper work. And the guy was peeved because he wanted an answer on whether I would contract them to do a financial plan (which is $850 a year and it doesn't include any trades and includes maybe one meeting after the initial plan).

So I wonder if the guy did his part to make sure I get the miles promised. When I search on delta.com, I only see an application page to setup the initial consultation. Nothing about how long it takes for the miles to post (but an older page did say 6-8 weeks IIRC) or a number to call to ask about the status of this.

Anyone else do this promotion? Any good or bad experiences with the consultation or getting the miles posted?
