Hi

Flying CX for the first time ever in January (CX270, AMS-HKG and CX171, HKG-PER). I'm flying on a deep discount student ticket. I have a few questions I'm sure you'll be able to answer.

1. I currently hold Silver Elite status with KL/AF. Is it worth trying to get CX to status match me? To whom should I direct this request?

2. I'm arriving in HKG at 07:50 in the morning, but my plane to PER leaves at 23:55. In other words: I have a full day in Hong Kong. Will I be able to leave the airport and check out the city (when I am in transit)?

3. Is there any chance whatsoever to get an upgrade? (for example by telling them I am willing to change loyalties (which I am, KL/AF is unbearable))?

4. I understand that if I enroll with Asia Miles, I can check in online and choose my seat. Any seat recommendations in Y for the A340 and A330?
