Got the Voucher through no problem, but noticed no spend added towards next years voucher. Next statement came through today still no mention of spend so phoned Amex. Was told that as BA are not advised of spend until Statement cut off date ( in this case Aug 16th) they will take it that you went past Aug 1st so will not gain any spend towards next voucher until Aug 2006.
I had actually phoned BA Amex to check that this was not the case and was advised that spend was neded prior to Aneversary date.
Have been told to write and complain.
Has anyone else fallen into this trap and if so did you have any joy getting out of it ??
Write and complain BIG TIME, if you were told something over the phone that was not true you are perfectly entitled to get the problem fixed. In fact insist that they send you a transcript of the phone call (the don't record them all so chances are low that they'll have it - but it makes the point you are serious).
Give em hell, and if you get fobbed off, escalate like mad. Good luck.
