I have come unstuck with this years Amex 2-1 .

Was told Anniversary date Aug 1st , so did not Triger the 15k Till 27th Jul as I wanted to use Voucher for School Holidays Aug 2006.

Got the Voucher through no problem, but noticed no spend added towards next years voucher. Next statement came through today still no mention of spend so phoned Amex. Was told that as BA are not advised of spend until Statement cut off date ( in this case Aug 16th) they will take it that you went past Aug 1st so will not gain any spend towards next voucher until Aug 2006.

I had actually phoned BA Amex to check that this was not the case and was advised that spend was neded prior to Aneversary date.

Have been told to write and complain.

Has anyone else fallen into this trap and if so did you have any joy getting out of it ??
