Anyone ever encounter this problem getting miles for purchase of City Pass?
I purchased my second City Pass at the end of August for $ 3,092.30 using my online Aeroplan account (logged in with Aeroplan number). The transaction was successful and a flight pass reference number was created for this new wallet.
Normally you would receive 1000 Aeroplan miles for the purchase: 1 mile for each $3 spent on the purchase.
The miles earned from this purchase have not been credited and it is time to get them done manually. I phoned Aeroplan this am and asked for their advice and help. I was passed on a lead agent who worked hard to find a solution. I was put on hold three times while he looked for a solution and consulted other agents. To keep this story short, the agent came back admitting that he could do nothing to help.
And then the words that strike fear into the soul of every every frequent flyer were pronounced: "Customer Solutions "Bring your matter to Customer Solutions."
As the agent had really tried to help, I refrained from impatience and just told him what our common experiences were with that dreaded department. I thanked him for his help and now I come to the expertise of the community.
Any one else encounter this? Suggestions. I really don't want the aggravation of dealing with Customer Solutions.
