So one can look at it in terms of a cost-benefit -- are the intangible benefits realized by non-flying-non-computer savvy users who can just punch in an approximate time outweighed by the man-hours to develop this extra feature (which "seems" to be quite simple to implement -- granted I have not seen any of their code or design -- again, this is a "perception")? In my profession, clients look for these types of seemingly "useless" things but to them it may mean the world of difference -- of course we manage their expectations but we also perform our due diligence in justifying a yay or nay.
