I was awfully surprised to hear this, but a friend has told me that United offers some kind of annual pass for travel from LA to Hawaii, targeted at pax who essentially commute back and forth.

I had never heard of such a thing, and I couldn't find anything with a search. Apologies if it's been covered to death previously, I just couldn't find it.
