Standard vertical separation is 1000 feet. It is not only no cause for alarm, it happens all the time and is not in any way dangerous.

I'm not stating that I know for a fact that this woman is not telling the truth. What I am saying is that I no longer get my undies in a bunch about anything I see on TV or read in the paper, as it is of such questionable veracity. "Air traffic safe" doesn't attract many viewers, so we see "Air traffic dangerous". Air traffic may be safe, may be dangerous, but whatever the case, we will see "Air traffic dangerous".
