I would rather hear her story than not hear it at all. This does have a lot to do with AA, being that the majority of air traffic through DFW is AA. Chances are that one of the aircraft in question was owned by AA. I am happy to live in a country where the consumer can hear these "stories" and form an opinion (probably not always an educated one). If officials see fit, an investigation should be started.
About once a year I see the media report on a situation that I know personally, in depth. They have yet to come anywhere close to the facts in any of these situations. Normally, they do just what they did in this case - find one individual (preferably someone with an axe to grind), and dump whatever they are told onto their pages or the airwaves verbatim without any checking. I would be astounded if this (or anything else I read or hear in the media) turned out to be true.
