Hi everyone.. I am brand new here and it would be fair to mention, that I work for DL. I saw a few posts, clarifying employee travel but it might be more understandable to read it from an employee.

Employees use NRPS or positive space travel (a confirmed seat on the aircraft) frequenty but ONLY if it is for company business.. meaning displaced crewmembers needing to travel back to the hub or marketing people flying to promote a new route.. things of that nature. Also only a very select group of very high management staff has F or BE positive space rights.

Also, as a "normal" employee I will have a go standby for an upgrade from my confirmed Y. This puts me not only behind medallion FFs, but behind ANY revenue passenger.

In terms of stand-by travel for leisure travel on int'l flights.. well, if you look at it from DL's standpoint: Why would you upgrade someone from a non L/T/U fare to a BE seat if you can sell that seat for $4000 .. THAT would discourage anyone from buying it for the full price.

AND NO.. employees DO NOT EVER "bump" revenue passengers, unless it is an extremely important circumstance that requires the employee to be on the flight.
