All time fave united.com blunder when I booked HKG-SIN returned on economy class non-upgradeable fare some time ago. At view my itinerary screen, I pressed upgrade just out of curiosity as its was a non-upgradeable ticket class. Lo and behold the system came back with confirmed XC booking class and seats in business class on my itinerary. Was rather apprehensive when it was time to fly as I thought it was too good to be true. Yup at the check-in desk, I was given my Business class boarding pass and priority tag for my luggage. Same thing too in Singapore, checked-in to business class with no problem and was able to use the lounge too.
