I always pick my destinations by where I can go on United metal. I do it for the EQM, the 500 milers, and E+ if I cannot upgrade. I have been trying for a year to get a Nice, France flight with both Atlantic legs on UA metal but have been unable to. I have instead been to BKK, SGN. and EZE several times. I will spend several hundred dollars more to get UA metal.
