I agree. I am sometimes willing to spend my own money extra for miles, but I would never spend a client's or company's money for miles.

That's why typically, when forced to travel at the last minute, I have to choose the most best times (minimizing my hours) and cheapest price (even if small differences), even those it's a Y fare.

Thus, for me (and others, I believe) traveling on the expensive fares actually gives zero loyalty -- hence the current doubt that CO's new "plan" makes sense.
