So you now DO agree with me Hilton, unlike CO, do not make major changes to THEIR award earning via that Corporation, as CO have just done?

The sad thing is that CO fliers just do not understand how EASY it is to burn miles on UA and their Star partners. So moving miles is not difficult at all.

As referenced, we have just got 2 x "Saver" sleeper First class awards Australia-USA to Sth America for THE peakest season here - Dec/Jan. Over 30,000 flown miles. And for 150,000 miles each on a "Saver" award. A "Standard" award is 400,000 each.

A CO flyer needs to generally opt for the Standard award for long haul It'l awards in peak flying season. There IS a difference in the two.

No, it depens on what you term to be a majopr change. There are CO flyers who do not believe this to be a major change given their flying patterns -- and I include myself in that category, although a high roller, last minute traveler might also agree, and there are a whole bunch of United members who consider the change that Hilton made was a very major change, given that they are stuck with their miles in an airline whose future is questionable, at best.

With regard to your analogy between the two programs, they are just not equivalent to yours truly in that I believe that United miles are fraught with questions relating to their survivability, as well as the fact that United simply does not have a major non-stop presence at my airport. It may be convenient for you, or your travel patterns, but since I travel alot to the UK for pleasure, either in its own right or as a jumping off point for the Continent, CO's program is fine for my needs.
