Everytime SQ doesn't have things I want on a flight to SIN, a flight attendant tells me that I can order it before I take a flight out of SIN.
SQ also offers more competitive prices than CX on some times.... I really don't see the need to buy anything onboard when I fly CX.
Besides, SQ gives you miles when you make duty-free purchases....
CX is way behind.

I don't know whether or not SQ does this officially or not, but I have been able to request items on my flights for my next flights. The FA would then approach me on the next flights to say that my item is onboard (kind of like how they tell you your BTC is onboard).
