And isn't 25k to much for a 3.5hr flight upgrade?? That means that i would have to go BKK - LHR and back 5 times to get a single upgrade? I think thats too much!!

Well, that is not unusual. Look at LH, one pays 100K miles for a rt upgrade if you are booked in booking classes other than Y and B for Europe-US, while an award C ticket is only 90K miles. Airline logic.
