Just a quick update after speaking with the RBC agent. Yes, it is confirmed that RBC points can be transferred only through their Platinum Avion card, transfer through other gold cards not possible. They will also prorate the $120 fee so it is worthwhile waiting a couple of months to see if any promo comes along.

However, Altaflyer, you say, "The BA promo is apparently just around the corner". Why do you say that with such confidence? (I didn't ask the agent about the promo because people here are likely to know before them!)
