You could probably do a one way trip for $10, but it would probably take you 2 hours or more! And how safe and comfortable it would be on a Detroit bus is debatable.

Otherwise you're looking at about $70 for services like these: http://www.personaltransportation.ca/

(I'd think a cab might be cheaper)
Detroit -- the motor city -- has two mass transist systems: DDOT which serves just Detroit and "Smart" which serves Detroit and the suburbs, but which can't let people off in the city per se.

As to airport mass transit to DTW, it can be described as minimal (think one bus per hour and a long walk).

About the best you could do is to take transit in Windsor to the tunnel, then the tunnel bus and and then an airport limo from the Ren Cen hotel. I would allow about three to four hours to do this and this assumes the lines at customs in the US are short. Since 9/11 crossing times have often been 30 to 45 minutes or more and they often are given on the radio with the traffic reports. By comparison, if I were to drive my own car, I'd allow a minimum of two hours to make this trip.

Also, I wouldn't cross the border into the US without a passport.

A better way to make this trip might be to fly from say London, Ontario to DTW.
