Since you all know so much about the different varieties of noise cancelling headphones, I wondered if anyone could recommend a model that would also be good for running.

I had the bright idea to splurge on the Bose headphones with the idea that I could also use them for jogging. I tend to turn my MP3 player way up to be heard over the traffic and construction noise. Today I gave my new pair a try and it was very disappointing. I guess I should have known it would be bad when I turned on the noise cancellation feature and could hear my heart beat instead of the traffic. While running and even walking, the pounding of my feet echoed through my ears.

So... now before buying something else, I thought I'd be some professional advice. Ideas?
