There will be two meals on this long flight, with snacks in between. However, you can use BTC only on the first meal, which is effectively your lunch. The meal they serve prior to landing will have to be chosen from what they carry on board. Sad but true, as I found out myself a few months back.
That said, do enjoy the wonderful in-between snacks. I had piping hot wantan mee soup on LAX-SIN. Fresh wantans, not the frozen type. The soup however, was a concoction of seasoning and hot water.
