SH-- I'll put the Krakow map in the mail shortly. You can take the train from Warsaw to Krakow-- go for 1 Class ( snack and refreshment come complimentary, seats are reserved etc). The Holiday Inn in Krakow is great--good price and staff are friendly and very helpful to Priority Club members. Also, the hotel is steps away from the old city.
