Any time I've come back into the US & had a connection it's always been UAto UA, so as soon as I cleared customs I just gave the UA bg hndlers my luggage to transfer to LAX.

My sister Cheryl's flying LH Frankfurt-Dallas & then connecting to UA for the LAX portion.

Will there be someone outside of customs (LH or UA) to take her baggage & take it over to UA or put it on conveyor, or does she have to take it w/ her when she switches terminals & re-check it at the UA counter?

I've been told that where LH comes into & where UA flies out of are 2 separate terminals. I've also been told the int'l arrival terminal is the nicer of the 2 & she should stay there as long as possible before heading over to the Red Carpet Club.

I'm guessing there's no arrivals lounge where LH comes in, but if there is one, please let me know.
