The relatively recent posts on Argentine history has got me thinking about that periennial question: what best to read/view in preparation for a trip to Argentina.

Just a note: I've read Ernesto Sabato (On Heroes & Tombs) and some Borges...And, I've watched Nine Queens.

What else would people suggest out there for a true sense of place/and overview of history?
