Thing about their NRT ops as opposed to DTW/MSP is that all the flights land in a cluster, and they all take off in a cluster. That is, if most of the NW flights INTO NRT are delayed, most of the flights OUT of NRT will be delayed accordingly, if not just for connections but because of A/C.

Unlike DTW, miss a connection and they'll let you standby on the next flight, at NRT they don't have that luxury...
