I don't understand the "verify identity" part.

I have no problem keying in my mileage plus number, just like I key in my Marriott Rewards number with Marriott...but the "say your name" with the background noise or cell phone noise is just a pain in the butt...and sometimes the agent that comes on STILL asks for my name anyway.
