Hyatt International is "ceoed" by Mr. Chorengel , one of the true hotelier pioneers and he was asked to also supervise the US domestic Park Hyatts about two years or so ago, hence the massive investments at those properties...

I expect Hyatt to have more brand diversification by the end of the century, however one should not underestimate the local needs and competition...

For example the new Park Seoul is probably much more luxurious than the also brand new Park Saigon, however I doubt that you need the level of luxury in Vietnam at this time period to be competitive.

Certainly in Milan, Zurich and Paris, the Park Hyatts needed to be absolutely top notch based on Hyatts desire to have one of the best hotels in town, which is true for Milan, Zurich and Paris, despite massive competition....
Yes you are right. It all depends on the competition in the city where the hotel is located. I think that in LA, the Park Hyatt has just given up because they cannot compete with the Pen and the Four Seasons.
