It has happened to me many times flying San Jose-Burbank that one hour before departure from San Jose both the website and the monitor showed 40 minutes delay. Upon checking, the incoming plane had not even landed in Las Vegas, from where it was flying to San Jose. Given that it is a 100 min flight from Vegas to San Jose, I knew that the 40 mins really meant at least 1 1/2 hours.
