Honestly I cant have much sympathy for anyone paying $1500/day for a hotel room. Crazy sez I. Most hotels I stay at have check-in at 300 PM or 400 PM. Check-out is typically 1100 AM or 1200 PM so you get a max of about 20-22 hours. Typically my room occupancy is 6-10 hours max.

I had a similar hotel problem in Dubai. Neither the Hilton or Sheraton hotels would allow checkout past 400 PM, so I added another Hilton day to my stay for abut $150 and we drank a little free extra bubbly in the executive lounge. Far cheaper than $1500.
