OK...so I'm late in contributing to this.

I agree with the observations above "in general". However, every flight is different and there are some very good LAX crews and some mediocre SFO crews on this route IME.

The main problem with booking out of SFO is that upgrades tend to be more difficult probably due to the higher number of elites.
