I would have expected extensive coverage and discussion of whether this were a result of the mechanics' strike...faulty work by replacements, or sabotage.
Personally, I felt the location was only tangential to the coverage.
One other thing...how comforting must it have been for any passenger on the flight watching coverage that featured the pilot whose plane crashed and killed over 100 passengers (despite his heroic efforts)!!??
In any case, hats off the the JetBlue crew.
