I had a wonderful 45 minute call a few months back. Brand new house so how they got the number I'll never know (I only use the line for ADSL).

A gentleman with an Indian accent called, claiming to be representing T-Mobile. Unfortunately for a telecoms company, the line sounded as if it was over a VHF ship-to-shore link - the walkie talkies I had as a kid were better.

After not managing to get him to give me a reason to believe that all T-Mobile calls were of such poor quality, we then moved onto the subject of my phone bill. My previous month's bill was around £100 - roaming and such for a business trip, and data calls. The lad couldn't understand why the bill was so large (nor what 3G data calls are), and why I was happy with the bill, and begged me to switch my tariff and not waste the rest. "If you don't want it, you could give it to me, or to charity!"

In the end I wanted to watch TV and ended the call. But I had fun in the meantime!
