The problem is that locals in LA who know the LA Park Hyatt never realize that the foreign PHs are much better and so turn up their noses at the idea of staying there when abroad. It's bad advertising in a way.

I knew the former GM of the Park Hyatt Los Angeles.
A class act gentleman
One of Hyatt's true greats......... ^
He was quite proud of his property and team as he should be.
He is thankfully still doing a fine job at another Hyatt property.

As for the last few years the GM of Park Hyatt Los Angeles is the former General Manager of Park Hyatt Tokyo and brings the wealth of his experience and leadership from that International property on board.
He has also brought on a number of International team members to give the property a more International appeal.
The rest I suppose is all in the eyes of the beholder for better or ???
