Got basically the same offer today to retain my silver status for next year, I am rather disappointed because I already have booked my next flight in November.
I normally fly to Thailand twice a year from the UK, but earlier on this year I flew using Air Miles for a free ticket not realising I would not get any Tier Miles so I was hoping the that Emirates would repeat this offer which they ran last year but then it was for November.
As a round trip is 13,000 miles so doubling it and I would retain silver for next year, as it is I had nearly 40,000 last year and probably only 13,000 this.
One thing for sure I will be using my air Miles for upgrades next time.
