Indeed! However, Sheratons are not really lower than Westins. It might feel that way because Sheratons are the "traditional luxury" brand and they also have some older properties. Sheraton is also the main brand of Starwood and they also have the most locations. Westin is the "modern luxury" brand and have newer properties. Westin is the casual, effortless luxury hotel, the brand has the cool & classy Feng Shui style. Both brands are somewhat in the same class, but they differ in style and demographics more than anything else. W Hotels are another completely different animal, but I won't go there in this thread. Sheraton=traditional luxury, Westin=modern luxury, W Hotels=kitsch luxury
