Ok, there is no accounting for taste, but I think that is an extremely generous description by any stretch of imagination.
The GM of this hotel is/used to be an active participant in this forum. He tries hard, but I guess that just isn't enough. I stayed there once and had some issues, filled in the customer survey appropriately and got an e-mail back from him very quickly asking for details. He said that if I stayed again he would make sure the same issues didn't arise. I did stay again, and he kept his word...only this time there were other issues. The check-in and check-out are chaotic to say the least and the standard of the rooms is fairly grotty and not really up to what one would expect at a Starwood hotel.
The Sheraton Skyline is a much nicer hotel and just doesn't have the issues that the Sheraton Heathrow does. But, of course, you pay more for it. For me, the difference in price is worth it and in future I will only stay at the Skyline.
