BahrainLad is the usual expert here, but both LGW and LHR have some 777s with small and big TVs as a result of this. My MCO trip in April had the bigger screens, my DFW in March didn't...so it's a bit hit and miss...
Small screen - Marconi (otherwise known as totally bollocks, but what do expect from something made in Southampton?) system. Early 777s (i.e. the first bunch that came with GE's - ZZZ*, VII*).
Big Scren - Matsusomething. Late 777s (delivered with Rollers - YMM*) and all 747s (who just happen to have Rollers but had the Matsu system installed as a result of BA finding out how shocking the Marconi system was).
But....I've heard that one or two of the VII* 777s have been retrofitted with the Matsu system? Can anyone confirm?
