With US carriers...send them a complaint and they'll try and fob it off by posting FF miles , as if that is all people care about.

At least with QF, when I have made a complaint , it is dealt with properly. If I have incurred expenses due to delayed baggage, QF have always agreed to pay them ( e.g. when dive cylinder is misdirected, then pay for hire of one )

Try it with Air Canada. They couldn't care less about it. No apology, no nothing, aside from talk to your inusrance company.

The insurance compnay, by the way, were very good about it.
