I still have over 80,000 miles from PA and YES I still do have an old PA card. It was funny a year ago I was in Tokyo in NW's lounge and there was someone else who had a PA bag tag and I realized that I had the very same type of PA's premium member bag tag (I don't think it was called platinum as the OP said, or was it? I can't remember but it did give you automatic upgrade to Business class.... do I miss those days!!!!). I now would have to look for it but I am sure I did not toss it. It is a souvenir, as much as the Pan Am spoon I took off one flight (and still use regularly) or the headsets I got off a Concorde flight
