Well, it wasn't actually a Pan Am Clippper Club. They used
the Qantas lounge in Honolulu airport. It was a very nice
lounge with marble showers. Back in those those days,
I fly LAX-HNL-LAX a lot and I would always get a shower
at the Qantas Club(courtesy of Pan Am) before boarding
my flight back to LAX, especially on the late flights out.

In those days, showers were not that common in airline
clubs/lounges and it was a real treat.

Not sure if any of you remembered the days shortly after
Delta took over Pan Am's European routes. Delta had
a promotion for trans-Atlantic first class passengers.
Each passenger was given a $50(or was it $100) gift
certificate for Tiffany & Co. I burned quite a lot of Pan
Am miles for trans-Atlantic first class on Delta. In the
end, I accumulated close to $1000 in Tiffany gift certificates,
which I redeemd for a $900 crystal vase. That Tiffany vase
is still sitting on my dining table as of today.
