I wonder also if the large number of relatively long-haul trans-cons factors into it. With one fewer crew member for just 6 fewer seats, service is certainly not going to be as good. Its one thing on EasyJet which flies pretty short stage lengths, but on 5-6 hour flights like JetBlue flies, it isn't going to be a particularly good situation for the FA's or the pax.
