Makes one wonder why AA and others don't expand F and charge the difference to cover the lost Y fare? I gladly pay for F on personal travel and am able to book F for business on longer flights.

There's little differences between all of the airlines, this could be enough to push the higher margin FF people over to whoever takes the plunge.
