I think you are mistaken. I'm not sure that any single thing DL would have/could have/should have done would have saved them from a BK filing. Further, I sincerely believe that for any airline to compete in today's revenue/competitive environment, they cannot do so profitably without jetisoning their pension plans. Translation: No matter what the pilots would have done, DL would have still gotten rid of their pension plan anyway.
