Associated Press - I read the article in the Los Angeles Daily Journal (Lawyer's Newspaper), August 8, 2005 - direct quote from AP:

"The government also wants to deport two Lodi religious leaders to Pakistan as alleged visa violations. Shabbir Ahmed is set for an immigration hearing Tuesday in San Francisco, while Muhammed Adil Khan last month agreed to be deported.

Khan's departure has been delayed because he isn't permitted to fly by commercial airliner and the government much charter a private jet, Griffin said."

Further research (Google) says the story was bylined August 5. The exact words appear on other sites such as ABCnews.com
